If I Were President…

2nd graders are reading If I Were President, by Catherine Stier this week at library, and stoking a little discussion about the enormous responsibility of leading a nation, what strong leaders do (or don’t do), and even some perks of the position.  Here are a few ideas from Mrs. Murphy’s class, should they get elected to the oval office one day….  LOVE THESE KIDS!!!!

We have had soooo much fun with this Arkansas Diamond Award nominee!  A book about the spirit of making things, the frustration one can feel when trying over and over to make something great, and …origami!  The last 2 pages show readers how to fold an origami ladybug .
